A Yearly Tradition
The Shrine’s Annual Fundraiser, known over the years by several names, has always been a fun event that has contributed to balancing the budget, accomplishing projects, covering unforeseen expenses, and, at times, putting money away for long-term financial stability.
The fundraiser has three parts:
Donated items are open for bid January 15 thru January 27th at 7:30 pm. You can help by donating items and bidding during the auction.
If you're local, please drop off donated items at St. Pauls, the Cathedral, or the Shrine. Please indicate a suggested value and starting bid for the item.
If you're from outside Juneau, you are welcome to send us a photo of the item and suggested value. You can hang onto the item until the winner of the item is known. We will then give you the shipping information, and you can ship it to the winner, rather than the item being shipped twice.
This fun portion of the fundraiser is live with some pre-recorded interviews with Friends of the Shrine. Participants can win both attendance and trivia prizes.
The fast-paced presentation lets viewers know what happened over the past year and what we hope to accomplish in the coming year.

If you don't need any auction items but want to help the Shrine, this part of the fundraiser is for you! Every $1 you donate to the fundraiser = $3 to the Shrine. Jim Wilcox started the match program several years ago. This year, another family, who wish to remain anonymous, have matched Jim's match. These two families will each match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 for each dollar donated to the fundraiser.
If we receive $10,000 in donations, another $10,000 will be donated by the Wilcox Family and another $10,000 by a family who wish to remain anonymous.
Matching gifts could bring as much as $30,000 to the Shrine for the 2024 Fundraiser.

Volunteers, the Backbone of the Shrine!
From the beach stones gathered that make up the walls of the Shrine Chapel to the plants that grace the Marian and Biblical Gardens, all are the work of volunteers giving their time for the greater glory of God. Are you being called to this work?
