Dear Shrine Pilgrim,

Welcome to the National Shrine of St. Therese, Juneau, Alaska.

In this time of uncertainty with the progression of the COVID-19 outbreak, we wish to assure you that your safety and comfort remain our highest priority. 

What can you do?

While on sidewalks, trails and common areas, social distancing of at least six feet should be maintained.
Face covering required in Shrine Chapel.
Cloth face coverings are encouraged on the campus.
Public restrooms are supplied with soap and paper towels. Please wash hand frequently for 20 seconds or more.
Place all dog feces in receptacles. Keep dogs on leash for the sake of other guests.

What are we doing?

We have stepped up precautionary measures as the safety of our guests and employees is paramount to us. We take the utmost care to ensure every stay with us is safe, clean and comfortable.

Public Restrooms are cleaned every 3 hours. 
Shrine Chapel is cleaned twice daily. 
Dog stations are disinfected daily.
Employees have been briefed on the guidelines provided by the World Health Organization and local health authorities. 
We are ready to render assistance to any guest that may feel unwell.
We conduct daily meetings with our employees to review any relevant situation. The Shrine is in constant communication with the Diocese of Juneau, relevant health and travel authorities to keep our guests and employees updated and to advise them on appropriate measures to observe.

Holy Mass

Sunday Mass 1:30 p.m. limited to 28 persons.

Cabin Rentals - Cabins can be rented but are limited to members of the same household.


Monthly Garden Workdays

In lieu of our monthly workdays volunteers are invited to come at their convenience and work on projects listed on the Shrine Volunteer Opportunity Board. The board is located near the Lodge. Tools are provided.

We welcome our pilgrims to the Shrine with the same warmth and hospitality we have always done. While the COVID-19 outbreak is a precipitously changing and fluid situation, we are committed to keeping you informed.

Resurface Parking Lot - Resurfacing all Shrine roads is a 5 year project. Last summer we resurfaced from the Highway to the Circle Drive. Summer 2020 we want to resurface the parking lot
